HDTV, commonly referred to as Hi-Def, is invading homes by storm. Now that HDTV’s are widely available and HD signals can easily be availed of, users are ready for the next upgrade – the Slingbox Pro-HD.
If you know how TiVo works, then you know what this device is. Like TiVo, its job is to accept all incoming HD signals or TV shows through your connection. The device would then store the shows in its memory and you can view it anytime, anywhere you want. TiVo could have done it for you. But if you have shifted to the HD craze, your good old TiVo box wouldn’t be able to handle it.
So you need this new HD Slingbox. The new version, the Slingbox Pro-HD, is now out in the market and it is a major evolution from the previous one. The old HD Slingbox can store your favorite HDTV shows all you want. But when it is in the re-broadcast mode, it works not with the same HDTV precision but in the normal state. Major dissapointment, huh?
Well, not anymore. the new Slingbox finally had the answer to your woes. You don’t have to content yourself to the regular broadcast signal because the re-broadcast mode is now upgraded to HDTV. What’s more, it is possible to view your stored shows in a remote location and over the internet.
Currently the new Slingbox Pro-HD is available in select electronic store outlets nationwide. It can also be bought from Sling. It costs $299.99, several dollars less than it was originally projected. Maybe they had made the necessay adjustment to the product to lower its price, considering that it is also six months late from its target release date.
The Slingbox Pro-HD would work with your existing HDTV connection such as Clear QAM, ATSC, HDTV cable boxes, HD DVR, and HDTV satellite receiver.
